Questions, answered plainly.
How can the price be exact before anyone sees my yard?
Because you show us the yard. You trace the lawn on satellite imagery, we compute the square footage from that outline, and the price comes straight off the measurement. Nobody is eyeballing it from the curb.
When am I actually charged?
Your card is authorized when you book, and the money sits in escrow with Stripe. It releases after your pro uploads before and after photos and you approve them. If the review window passes without a response, it releases automatically.
What if the work is bad?
Decline the release and open a dispute from the job. Our operations team looks at the photos, the chat, and the timeline. Refunds are real, and any refund larger than a token amount takes two operators to approve.
Can I get the same pro every time?
On a recurring plan we route your job to your previous pro first whenever they have the slot. If they don't, you get matched with another vetted pro nearby and you'll see who before they arrive.
What happens when it rains?
We watch the forecast for your area and flag jobs at risk. If mowing would be unsafe or damage the lawn, the job is rescheduled with no cancellation fee, and you get a notification rather than a surprise.
Can I skip a week?
Yes. Skip a single visit, pause the plan for a vacation, change the frequency, or cancel it, all from plan management. Skipping does not cost anything.
Do you handle more than one property?
Add as many as you like. Each one keeps its own boundary, measured square footage, house photo, and price, and you pick the property when you book.
What if my yard changes?
Open the property editor and re-trace the boundary. The square footage and price update from the new outline, and future bookings use it.
Do I know what a job pays before I accept it?
Yes. Every card in the feed shows the pay, the measured square footage, the distance from you, and the time window. There is no bidding and no negotiation after the fact.
How fast do I get paid?
Escrow releases to your Stripe balance when the homeowner approves your photos, then pays out on the schedule you set in payout settings. You can see pending releases and balance separately.
Can I bring my own customers?
That's a supported flow. Send an invite link or a QR code, your customer confirms the link, and their jobs route to you inside Yardly with escrow and photo verification handled.
Can my crew use it?
Invite employees to your team. They get a minimal app with their assigned stops in route order, the same photo capture requirement, and a clock in and out. You see hours by day and week.
Why is photo capture required?
Photos are what let money release without a phone call. They protect you as much as the homeowner: documented before and after is the evidence that closes a dispute in your favor.
What affects how many jobs I see?
A reliability score built from completion rate, on-time arrivals, no-shows, and ratings. Providers in good standing see more of the feed, sooner.
Do I have to follow the route you give me?
No. The daily route is sequenced to cut your drive time, and you can reorder stops. It is a tool, not a rule.
